16 Turkish companies present their performance profile at GIFA 2019

The Turkish casting industry has become a reliable supplier to the European and American casting industry. The casting industry in Turkey has been characterized by strong development in both market volume and technology for many years. There are over 1,000 companies with qualified employees. Turkish foundries are able to produce any type of alloyed and non-alloyed castings. Turkey is the third largest European cast producer after Germany and Italy. Worldwide, the production of castings is in 11th place with 2,155,000 tons, an increase of 37% in the last 5 years. More than 60% of the Turkish production of castings is exported.

The products from Turkey are used in a wide variety of industries, ranging from the mechanical engineering, automotive and aerospace industries to medical technology. Turkish casting companies offer great competitive advantages on the world market with low production costs, high quality, improved productivity, own development of new technologies as well as the geostrategic situation.

The competitiveness and export orientation of Turkish casting manufacturers is also reflected in the companies' participation in international trade fairs. At the world's leading trade fair for foundry technology GIFA in Dusseldorf, Turkey, with among 75 exhibitors, is the fifth largest exhibitor country after Germany, China, Italy and India.
