Bosch Rexroth, one of the leading suppliers of drive and control technologies, is proud to announce two of its products have received LEAP awards. Sponsored by industry-leading publications Design World, Fluid Power World and EE World, the LEAP Awards honor the best components and services across the mechanical and electrical engineering design space.
A panel of judges made up of independent engineering industry professionals selected a gold, silver and bronze medal winner across 13 different categories.
Bosch Rexroth’s CytroBox was awarded a silver award in the hydraulics category. CytroBox provides a new solution for the medium performance range up to 30 kW. With its integrated IoT technologies, CytroBox paves the way for consistently implementing Industry 4.0 concepts. The current consumption is parametrized and optimized with regard to the existing electrical cabinet. Preset controllers in variable-speed pump drives adjust energy requirements on an individual basis.
In the mechanical category, Bosch Rexroth received a bronze award for its Smart Function Kit. The Smart Function Kit mechatronic system is designed for numerous pressing and joining applications. Preselected mechanical and electrical components and software are combined in various kits for forces from two to 30 kN as an ideal basis for system integrators and end-users. The Smart Function Kit can be used as a standalone solution or incorporated into a superior system via fieldbus.
Award winners will be recognized at a ceremony in Santa Clara, California, on December 9, 2019.
