Essel Mining and Industries Limited (EMIL) has granted Primetals the Final Acceptance Certificate (FAC) for its round pelletizing plant. The space-saving plant is considered a cost-effective alternative to conventional pelletizing plants and is the first reference plant in India to produce at full capacity.
Waste heat from steel plant to be used in district heating network

The heating and cooling plant on SSAB's Hämeenlinna site in Finland will have a heating capacity of around 10 MW and produce approximately 70 GWh of district heat per year. This corresponds to the heating needs of approximately 3,000 single-family houses and covers around 15% of Hämeenlinna's heating needs

Georg Fischer in Leipzig produces large and heavy casting components weighing up to 1.1 tons for commercial vehicles and the off-highway segment including construction equipment, agricultural and forestry machinery, regenerative energy, engine technology and general engineering. Up to 60,000 tons of iron castings are produced annually, and the demand is continuing to grow.
