New Head of the Marine Division at Alfa Laval

As of April 2024, Thomas Menzel has taken over as the new head of the Marine Division at Alfa Laval in the DACH region. In this role, he will particularly focus on the area of “Sustainable Shipping” for the Swedish company.

Menzel possesses extensive qualifications, including a degree in mechanical engineering and four years of service in the German Navy. Additionally, he has worked for a global ship repair company, where he led maintenance projects and was responsible for establishing a branch in Doha, Qatar, over three years. He has been employed at Alfa Laval since 2017, where he has previously worked in the sales department.

At the SMM (Shipbuilding, Machinery and Marine Technology trade fair) in 2024, Alfa Laval will be represented for the first time with a German host. At the fair, Alfa Laval will focus on topics of energy efficiency and sustainability in shipping. Menzel looks forward to representing the company in the Marine Division. Sven Schreiber, Managing Director of Alfa Laval Mid Europe, looks forward to the collaboration and is convinced that Menzel will be a great asset.
