The Trygonal Group was acquired by Freudenberg Sealing Technologies on April 30. Through this acquisition, Freudenberg aims to strengthen the service business of its sealing division, Freudenberg Xpress.
Sebastian Grünschloß, Vice President Global Freudenberg Xpress & Service Platforms, states: “With the acquisition of the Trygonal Group, the current service and performance offerings of Freudenberg Xpress will be strategically expanded.” The global business unit, Freudenberg Xpress, specializes in small and medium batch sizes, rapid prototyping, and customized sealing solutions.
The acquisition of the Trygonal Group means expanded regional coverage and additional manufacturing capabilities for Freudenberg. Trygonal operates eight production sites in Germany, Spain, Austria, and Switzerland, producing customized sealing solutions in thermoplastics, elastomers, and rubber-metal composites with a wide range of manufacturing processes.
Moreover, with this acquisition, Freudenberg Xpress is also expanding its capabilities in CNC-turned products, which are produced for industries such as fluid technology, process industry, heavy industry, drinking water treatment, and agriculture. Additionally, the acquisition opens up new manufacturing processes for small and medium production volumes for the Weinheim-based sealing provider. The material portfolio of Freudenberg Xpress will also be significantly expanded.
