Expansion is essential for many companies these days. For example, two manufacturers of industrial valves have recently invested in new production facilities. One of them is even located in India.
The expansion of the Bürkert site in India pursues the goal of operating even more internationally while remaining close to local customers and at the same time ensuring the reliability of the supply chains. The site currently comprises four sales offices spread across different regions of the country.
Over the course of the year, a modern production site was therefore built in Pune on around 5,000 square metres, which includes a production, assembly and test centre as well as an administrative unit. The first 32 of up to 100 employees are due to start work in the new premises by the end of 2024.
Annual production of 30,000 valves
Sadiq Khan, Managing Director of Burkert Fluid Control Systems India, emphasised the importance of the new plant and pointed out that it is the company's third production site outside Europe. ‘This site is a crucial step towards realising Bürkert's global value network,’ he said.
The new manufacturing site has a production capacity of more than 30,000 valves and 500 systems per year. Initially, the plant will focus on the manufacture of products such as mass flow controllers, angle seat valves, diaphragm valves and customised system solutions. An expansion of production capacity and the creation of additional jobs are planned for the future.
Topping-out ceremony and 75th company anniversary
As part of the Waldäcker III construction project of Goetze KG Armaturen, numerous guests gathered to celebrate this significant milestone together. After the welcoming address by Managing Directors Detlef and Tobias Weimann, Ludwigsburg's Lord Mayor Dr Matthias Knecht and architect Michael Frey spoke about the significance and future of the modern building, which will provide new space for production, logistics, development and administration in the future. Another highlight was the presentation of the IHK anniversary certificate to Tobias Weimann, which recognises the company's decades of expertise and quality in the industry.
‘The ceremony of the steel and shell builders, crowned by a traditional barrel tapping, emphasised the connection with our roots and our excitement for what is to come. We would like to thank all the guests, partners and employees who celebrated this day with us. Special thanks also go to the construction workers who are realising this project with dedication,’ the company announced.
With an investment of around 30 million euros, the new headquarters of Goetze KG Armaturen is being built on an area of 17,000 square metres. This modern site offers the current 180 employees a contemporary working environment and room for further growth. With capacity for 350 to 400 employees, the new headquarters will lay the foundations for the company's future expansion. The move is planned from the beginning of 2025 and will take place in several stages. By merging several locations, Goetze is laying the foundations for a successful future for the company for generations to come.
